Description:

Cloud Computing Security and Audit-ability Issues

·         Cloud Computing 101

·         Reality Check

·         Security Issues

·         ISACA Member Responsibilities

·         What's Missing?

This presentation will provide to attendees a brief high-level overview of the history and "technology enablers" of cloud computing, pointing out why on the surface it appears to be a new dynamic resource for organizational enterprises.  However various business risks will confront organizations should they choose to enter the clouds today.  This presentation identifies these risks and ISACA's recommended course of action for member auditors and risk managers.

Speaker:

Peet Rapp MBA. CISA

Peet has a very deep knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley IT Compliance, in 2003 authoring the AN IT EXECUTIVE'S OVERVIEW OF THE SARBANES-OXLEY ACT OF 2002  white paper. He has repeatedly developed  IT General Control Frameworks for multi-billion corporations to non-accelerated filers.  In 2009 Peet became an active member of the Cloud Security Alliance, attempting to assure the proper security and audit controls are put into place in the Cloud Environment. He is a co-author of the November 2009 ISACA research paper Cloud Computing: Business Benefits With Security, Governance and Assurance Perspectives. Peet wrote the article “ You Soon May Be Auditing the Cloud” which ISACA International submitted to the Financial Executives Magazine for publication.  Peet Rapp is part of the six member ISACA International work team developing ISACA’s position on Cloud Computing Security and Audit-ability. He is the prime author of the upcoming ISACA book on this subject and a co-developer of the ISACA Cloud Computing Security webinar.
